Terri was born and raised in Florida but is proud to be an Alaskan since 1986, She started selling to Alaska retailers in 1989 with Doug Tweedie. She immediately discovered her purpose: creating and selling great products to amazing people. Doug & Terri became partners in 1997 and formed Tweedie & Storter Marketing. Terri enjoys creating success for her clients and her vendors. “If both my clients and vendors are succeeding, then we are succeeding too.” Terri loves traveling, cooking, games, puzzles, gardening, and spending time with her business partner/husband Jamie, her kids, grandkids, and dogs Louie and CoCo.

A lifelong Alaskan since the age of 7 days, Karen started her Alaska sales and marketing company, Karen Sobolesky & Co. in 2000. She and Terri joined forces in 2021. She has represented single artists and large companies with great success. She has been working in the book industry for years honing her expertise on which retailers NEED books and what books they need! She is a lover of, you guessed it, books, and art and developing success in whatever she is doing. Karen has a big heart and shares that with the world by donating and working for numerous causes. Karen loves gardening, her church, going to her and her husband Bill’s cabin, spending time with their kids and grandkids, and calling out book titles randomly in her sleep.

Mariah started in the culinary world graduating from New England Culinary Institute and managing several top Anchorage restaurants. She is also a Sommelier! She started with the company in 2017 and immediately excelled at selling some of our top lines. She also took on brand new lines and quickly made them top sellers. She brought a strong work ethic with her and seamlessly built relationships with everyone she worked with. Mariah is a true Alaska girl who loves hunting, fishing, gardening and garden design, harvesting, hiking, cabin building, cooking, knitting, her church, and volunteering wherever there is a need . She is dog-mom to our showroom mascot, Thistle McEwan, a female black Scottie, and mother to two teenage boys. She has one handsome husband named Jason.

Lisa joined our company in 2021 bringing with her a long history of retail experience. Lisa is a born and raised Alaska girl and growing up in Ketchikan means she is only truly happy when it is raining! She began in her local Ben Franklin store and went on to manage and buy for six large souvenir stores in Juneau and Anchorage for the past 15 years. She brings her years of retailing perspective to Storter & Sobolesky and is a tremendous value to us and will be for you too. Lisa is happiest when she is working and helping others succeed. She is a passionate animal lover and although she is currently mom only to Hobbs, her 19-year-old cat, she is always looking to expand her furry family. Lisa loves books, cats, dogs, animals, gardening, bird watching, cooking, and being with her husband Eric.

Kathleen (Kat) is our beloved office manager and the QUEEN of customer service. She is FAMOUS for her customer service skills and vendors and customers adore her. She was born in New Mexico but moved to Bethel, Alaska when she was 2 years old. Kat is an Alaska girl and loves living in Anchorage and working at Storter & Sobolesky. She is a cat-mom of three: Casey Jones, Frank, and Beans. Kathleen should have been named Cathleen! She loves all animals but is terrified of bees or any flying insect. She spends her free time in the hot tub, crafting, gardening, cooking, dressing up her cats, traveling, and going to amusement parks. Kat is happiest when she is with her husband Matt enjoying the sun.

Amanda joined our team in 2022. She brings a range of skills from multiple jobs, in customer service, office, and admin. She has already proven to be an awesome order entry guru! Most recently she was working in property management and selling motorcycles for Harley Davidson. She loves riding her Harley Davidson Dyna and all things automotive and will spend hours in the garage. When she is not chasing the thrill of living fast, she enjoys spending time on the couch with her husband, Hunter, and cat Bella watching submarine movies. She likes finding new recipes to try in the kitchen, laying in the sun with a good book, and traveling to new places.
